Steve Leroux was born in 1973 and teaches visual arts at the CEGEP in Rimouski. He is active in a variety of cultural organisations in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region and served as director of the artist-run centre Caravansérail in Rimouski in 2007-08. His work has been shown in Quebec, the rest of Canada and the United States at venues such as the Maison de la culture Frontenac in Montreal, the Musée régional de Rimouski, Gallery 44 in Toronto, Odd Gallery in Dawson City and Moser Fine Arts Center Gallery in Joliet, Illinois. He is the co-author with Sandra Fillion of Miroitements. Désirs et réalité du travail, published in the Livres d'artistes series by Éditions J'ai VU in 2006.
