Madeleine Doré was born in Métabechouan-Lac-à-la-croix in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec and lives and works in Cuges-les-Pins, France. She has practiced relational art and performance for more than twenty-five years, working in interventions which join various artistic disciplines in nomadic contexts. She holds a master's degree in art from UQAM (1985) and her work has been presented in Quebec and abroad, particularly in Turkey, Italy and Korea. Her performance Ouverture du petit salon québécois was presented at the Jean-François Meyer gallery in Marseille in 2008 and her work Apparaître was exhibited at Les Perles in Barjols, France in 2009. Madeleine Doré also works as an independent curator and author. In 2002 she and Françoise Rod founded the association tadlachance, which has carried out several interventions in France and England since that date.
