Lynda Gammon lives in British Columbia and teaches in the visual arts department of the University of Victoria. In 1983, she obtained a master's degree in visual arts from York University in Toronto. Using photography and sculpture, she explores architectural space and the concept of shelter. Several solo exhibitions of her work have been held in Canada, including Interval at the Stride Gallery (Calgary, 2008), Residual at Platform (Winnipeg, 2008), Architectural Spaces and Pressurized Psychology at Gallery 101 (Ottawa, 2007) and Salvaged at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (Victoria, 2005). Her work has also been seen abroad as part of group exhibitions in Paris, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
