Amélie Laurence Fortinshares her time between Quebec City and her sea kayak and holds a master's degree in visual arts from Université Laval. Her work in the fields of performance art, installation and drawing has been presented in Quebec and in Europe at venues including La Chambre Blanche and Manif d'art 5 in Quebec City and Presse Papier in Trois-Rivières. She engages in intensive athletic activities and took part in a three-month sea-kayak expedition in 2010 between Homer, Alaska and Vancouver, British Columbia. This expedition was the founding topic of an artistic exploration that began during her studies and which the exhibition Exploits extends.
