Christian Barré lives and works in Montreal and holds a master's degree in visual arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal. His work in photography, video and installation, which enquires into the ways in which our cultural behaviour is subjugated by the media environment, has been presented in Portugal, Poland and Quebec at venue such as the Manif d'art 3 in Quebec City, the Mois de la Photo in Montreal 2001 and at 3e impérial in Granby. In 2005, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal presented the body of photographs Dignité-Dignity. An initial version of Car Crash Memories was exhibited at the [sas] gallery in Montreal in 2009.
