La chimie des corps

The exhibition catalogue La chimie des corps presents five new works on human bodies and their depiction by Serge Clément, Loly Darcel, Lucie Duval, Sylvie Laliberté and Johanne Tremblay. These five works form a strange rebus suggestive of curious coincidences and striking analogies. Andrée Daigle's essay provides an analysis of the works which takes us beyond the anecdote and the document. The exhibition was originally intended to be held as part of the event Quebec New York 2001, which was cancelled because of the events of 11 September of that year.
